Swedish Massage

Uses five styles of long, flowing strokes to massage. Excellent for improving circulation, promoting deep relaxation, and reducing joint pain and muscle stiffness.

 

Deep Tissue Massage

Designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue. This type of massage focuses on the muscles located below the surface of the top muscles. Deep tissue massage is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity, such as athletes, and patients who have sustained physical injury.

 

Remedial Massage

A deep firm or gentle massage specialising in musculoskeletal dysfunctions causing pain and discomfort. The massage is applied concentrating on the origin of complaint combining a range of techniques to ease pain, improve circulation and blood supply to help the body repair soft tissue damage and release tension and stiffness.

  

Pregnancy Massage

A special Swedish massage or acupressure treatment administered to a pregnant woman as she rests on her side or on our specialised tables which have a hole cut out for the tummy.

Aromatherapy

The use of various fragrant plant-based oils in massages, facials, wraps, and/ or bath soaks to stimulate the senses and provide therapeutic healing for specific ailments.

 

 

Heated and Chilled Hydrotherapy Stone Massage

Specially treated basalt stones are water-heated and used to apply pressure and deep penetrating heat to the body to aid in deep relaxation and muscle tension.  Your therapist will then use both the heated stones and stones that have been chilled in ice water for a mesmerising hydrotheraphy massage that will really get your heart pumping.

 

Traditional Chinese Cupping

Uses traditional methods involving flame and glass globes to create a vacuum that is used for deep-penetrating release of muscles, ligaments and tendons.  Ideal for musclular knots, trigger points, shin splints and many types of musculoskeletal injury.  Can be experienced on it's own or integrated into your normal remedial massage.

   

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

A gentle but profound wave-like massage that promotes drainage of toxins and waste from the body's intricate lymph system.  Excellent for helping relieve fluid retention, swelling, stiffness and pain resulting from injury.

 

Reflexology
